Laboratory System
The Laboratory System sends ORU^R01 result messages when wet-lab processing completes. Panic values must propagate to clinicians immediately.
Time-critical path
Unlike batch exports, lab results — especially critical ones — ride the same real-time ingestion path as other HL7 traffic, then through the Critical Flag Engine.
