The OMOP Mapper transforms canonical clinical concepts into OMOP CDM tables — PERSON, VISIT_OCCURRENCE, MEASUREMENT, etc.

Standard cohort vocabulary

Researchers write SQL against OMOP tables — the mapper is what makes hospital-specific codes comparable across sites.
